Despite the 2 hour rain delay, the day/night cricket test helped Seven to a big win. The extended night session thrashed the FTA premiere of The Mummy (starring Tom Cruise) in most cities.
In Perth, the last ever episode of Today Tonight got more viewers than Seven News.

Seven posted its biggest test cricket audience of the season so far as David Warner scored his first ever triple century in tests. Seven won the final night of ratings season but with a smaller margin than Friday, because of the FTA premiere of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle which was very competitive against the cricket.

Seven won in primary channels on the back of solid ratings for the cricket, but a 6.3% share for 9GO! (thanks to the Disney double of The Lion King – the original version – and Thor: Ragnarok) helped Nine to win in network shares.
Hamish and Andy’s Perfect Holiday finished its run with part 3 posting the show’s lowest audience.

The early end to the day/night cricket test between Australia and Pakistan (the home side won by an innings and 48 runs with a day to spare) didn’t help Seven at all, as its standby programs were no match for Nine and 10.
10 reintroduced 90 minute evening news for the first time since 2011 and shifted the struggling Celebrity Name Game to 10Bold. The move seemed to have worked, with 10 reporting its 6pm ratings increased by 29% from last Monday.
The penultimate episode of The Amazing Race Australia easily won its timeslot and topped the demographics.
Silent No More fell from last week’s debut.

The Amazing Race Australia ended on a high note last night, with the final segment posting the biggest audience of the season. It won the timeslot in total people and was the top program in 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 demographics. Newcastle newlyweds Tim and Rod Sattler-Jones were crowned the winners, reaching the finish mat at the Katherine Gorge first, beating 10 other teams and taking home $250,000 prize money.
However, TARA’s performance could not prevent Nine from winning the night.

10’s decision to move The Unicorn to multichannels paid off, with the main channel share up from last Wednesday. 10Bold also posted a massive 6% share. Playing for Keeps finished its second season on a high.
The audience decline for the AACTA Awards continued, however the ceremony made it into the top 20.
The season 2 grand final of Australian Spartan, which aired on 7mate at 10.30pm, posted perhaps the lowest audience for a first run episode of a reality competition on TV.

Nine won the night despite its new UK travel adventure show Race Across the World suffering a poor debut, pulling just under 300,000 viewers.
Seven’s ratings woes continued with Zumbo’s Just Desserts finishing with the lowest audience of the season. Sydney university student Catherine Zhang, who was the competition’s youngest contestant at 19 years old when the show was filmed in late 2018, defeated father of two and concreter Simon in the grand final, claiming $100,000 in prizemoney.

Seven had a clear win in primary channels, but ended up winning in network shares by just 0.4%. It’s because of solid shares from 9GO! and 9Gem.
